Job Description:

Driver (Class 2) – Manchester
Velocity Recruitment is working on behalf of a client to recruit a Class 2 Driver for their logistics operations team based in Manchester .

This is a full-time, permanent position , working 45 hours per week over five days . The role involves early morning starts and may occasionally require overnight stays , so flexibility is essential.

Role Overview
You’ll be responsible for delivering goods safely and efficiently to a range of customers using a Class 2 curtainsider vehicle , ensuring excellent service at all times. Some warehouse duties, including packing and loading, may also be required.

Key Responsibilities

Complete scheduled deliveries to wholesale customers (approx. 12-15 drops per day)

Operate a Class 2 curtainsider vehicle safely and professionally

Assist with loading and unloading vehicles

Occasional order picking and packing to meet customer demands

Maintain a safe working environment within the warehouse and fleet operations

What We’re Looking For

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar Class 2 driving role

Experience operating curtainsider vehicles with tail lifts preferred

Strong time management and organisational skills

Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks

Forklift Truck experience or licence (training can be provided)

Proficient in basic IT and record-keeping

Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) licence with a clean driving record, Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph.

Please note: Due to insurance restrictions, applicants must be 25 year old or older to be covered on company vehicles.
